Mam kilka kamer, kartę i oczywiście serwer postanowiłem to jakoś spiąć.
Używam Debiana 6 (bez X-ów), zainstalowałem oprogramowanie ZoneMinder i potrzebne moduły do karty, czyli bttv i bt878.

W jaki sposób mogę sprawdzić czy karta działa poprawnie? W /dev pojawił mi się video0.
W zoneminder po ustawieniu:

Kod: Zaznacz cały

sorce local /dev/video0

Wklej wynik polecenia:

Kod: Zaznacz cały

dmesg
I przejrzyj dokładnie dokumentacje (zwróć uwagę na działy faq/Common problems/Troubleshooting), pewnie coś źle skonfigurowałeś. Zoneminder zapisuje zdarzenia do logu (więcej w dokumentacji), przeanalizuj go.

Useful Commands
 ===============
 $ v4l-info /dev/video0
 $ sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 force-reload
 $ sudo service zoneminder restart
 $ dmesg | grep bttv
 $ sudo tail -f /var/log/syslog
 $ ffmpeg -f video4linux2 -s 320x240 -r 30000/1001 -i /dev/video0 -y webcam.avi
