Debian 5.0 - xorg.conf i wyciszanie dźwięku domyślne

Witam.
Na dniach zainstalowałem Debiana 5.0 wraz z Gnomem.
I mam w sumie dwa nurtujące mnie pytania:
- Czemu mój Xorg jest pusty praktycznie? Co zrobić by był poprawny?

- Czemu po każdym ponownym uruchomieniu komputera system domyślnie wycisza i wyłącza dźwięk? Jest to trochę wkurzające i uciążliwe?

Działa Ci Xorg? Jeśli tak, to czego chcesz? Jeśli nie - to zgłoś problem.
Jeśli chodzi o dźwięk - zobacz to co podpowiadają przedpiszący.

Biore sie za czytanie
Dzieki za pomoc.
Nie do konca wiem czy dziala, szczegolnie sekcja z karta graficzna, bo co restart badz dwa cos w systemie pada dajac w rezultacie dziwna rozdzielczosc (Wide Screen zwezony do 17" kwadratu jakim jest moj monitor), strzelam ze to Xorg bo nic w nim nie ma, a zazwyczaj wyswietlalo sie (na Ubuntu chociazby) sekcja z grafika i monitorem. DirectRendering dziala i w sumie poza ta rozdzielczoscia co jakis czas wszystko dziala idealnie.

A sterowniki zainstalowałeś do nvidii? Jeśli jeszcze nie to polecam dział dla początkujących.

Hmm napisałem ze DirectRendering działa dajac w wyniku Yes, wiec sterownik zainstalowany, glxfears daje kolo 2000fps wiec to standart dla mojej karty

Wygeneruj sobie nowego xorg.conf za pomocą X -configure jak nie pomoze to go wyrzucisz.
Co do dzwięku to jak poustawiasz glośnosci wydaj z roota polecenie

Wielkie dzieki za pomoc
Alsa działa poprawnie (tzn dzwiek odpala sie tak jak ustawilem).
Ale po zaladowaniu Xorga jak ponizej, srodowisko graficzne nie wstaje i nie mam pojecia czemu
