Szukałem na forum i znalazłem to to że problemem może być Yakuake - zamknąłem i nadal to samo. Próbowałem rozwiązać problem wg tego FAQ - nic nie skutkuje

PS. Fajne połączenie wychodzi przy uruchomieniu w sesji KDE nautilusa, gnome-theme-manager'a i zabiciu kdesktop - pasek zadań = KDE, pulpit = GNOME, przegladarka plików = Nautilus

(trzeba jeszcze dodać wyświetlanie pulpitu nautilusa na wszystkich pulpitach KDE)

masz mały sajgon w xorg.conf, może przekonfiguruj xorga:

a potem dodaj do tego pliku to co ma być dodane do beryla.

Po paru minutach na google doszłem do tego że błąd

beryl: symbol lookup error: beryl: undefined symbol: XCompositeGetOverlayWindow

można rozwiązać aktualizując libxcomposite1 no i tak zrobiłem i błędu już nie ma, ale jest inny:

Już kiedyś to miałem. (beryl nadal się nie chce uruchomić)

opis konfiguracji masz w przyklejonym temacie

Zrobiłbym to ale później moja siorka by się na mnie darła czego nie widzi godziny - tak jak to ostatnio było, że po zrekonfigurowaniu xorg'a monitor się przesunął i na linuxie trzeba było ustawiać inaczej a na windowsie inaczej

EDIT: Zapomniałem dodac że compiz wypluwa to samo co beryl:

EDIT 2:
W google jest tylko parę tematów dotyczących tego błędu (Root visual is not a double buffered GL visual), żaden nie rozwiązuje mojego problemu.
