Debian Squeeze - brak dźwięku na układzie intela

Witam.

Jestem świeżo upieczonym użytkownikiem Linuksa i pierwszym problemem z jakim się borykam jest brak dźwięku. Od 3 dni przeglądam internet w poszukiwaniu rozwiązania ale żadne z nich nie przynosi skutku.

apt-get purge gstreamer0.10-pulseaudio
Restart systemu.

Uruchom system i następnie terminal (konsolę). Wpisz polecenie:

Przełącz się na inny pulpit i uruchom terminal (konsolę) i wykonaj polecenie:

alsamixer
baw się suwakami aż uzyskasz szum w głośnikach. Polecenia wykonujesz jako zwykły uźytkownik.

Szum pojawia się podczas wyłączenia wyciszania PCM, Mic i Mic boost.
Dźwięku dalej nie ma.

Nie wiem jak masz teraz w alsamixer, ale PCM oraz Master mają być włączone, lub odznacz wyciszenie. I do tego opcja 'External Amplifier' (gdziekolwiek się znajduje, poszukaj i sprawdź też pod klawiszami F1, F2 ....) ma być wyłączona bądź 'mute'.
