Po aktualizacji systemu, brak sieci po wybudzeniu systemu ze stanu wstrzymania

Jakiś czas temu, mniej więcej na przełomie lipca i sierpnia, zaktualizowałem system za pomocą poleceń:

aptitude update
aptitude upgrade

W ramach aktualizacji odbyła się instalacja nowej wersji jądra (3.0). Od momentu aktualizacji występuje u mnie dziwny problem z siecią. Gdy wstrzymam komputer (bez znaczenia w jaki sposób), a następnie go wybudzę, tracę łączność z siecią:

192.168.1.1 to domowa brama, 8.8.8.8 - serwery DNS firmy Google (jako przykładowy serwer, co do którego nie ma wątpliwości, czy działa), onet.pl - chyba nie muszę tłumaczyć.

Problem rozwiązuje tylko ponowne uruchomienie komputera. Nie pomaga "opuszczanie" i "podnoszenie" interfejsu eth0 ani ponowne uruchamianie usługi "networking".

Nie posiadam katalogu networking, posiadam katalog network.

Nie jestem połączony z siecią poprzez DSL - nie sądzę żeby miało to związek, ale te wpisy usunę i sprawdzę czy to coś da.

Dodane:
Usunąłem część dotyczącą połączenia DSL - nie pomogło. Nadal problem jest identyczny.

Co zauważyłem. BIOS mam skonfigurowany tak, że w stanie wstrzymania zasilana jest chyba tylko pamięć RAM, a na pewno wyłączone zostaje zasilanie wentylatorów. Gdy wstrzymam komputer i wcisnę włącznik aby go "obudzić", gdy nie zostanie jeszcze do końca wstrzymany (nie podaje już sygnału na monitor, ale wentylatory jeszcze działają przez kilkanaście sekund), problem nie występuje.
