Witam.

Wczorajszego dnia pokusiłem się o instalację nowego jajka (2.6.21-1-686) z repo sida. Kolejno przeinstalowałem drivery grafiki i odpalilem X'y. Wszystko (włącznie z berylem) chodziło bezproblemowo do czasu upgrade'u...

Po reboocie X'y włączają się bezproblemowo jednak zaraz po odpaleniu beryla przestają odpowiadać... Nie działa żaden guzik na żadnym pasku. Klikając w jakąkolwiek ikonke pulpitu aplikacja uruchamia się (jest widziana przez Top) jednak na pulpicie 0 reakcji.
Myślałem że może to wina jaja jednak po przeinstalowaniu driverów i odpaleniu systemu na 2.6.18-4-686 mam ten sam efekt... Pomogło jedynie wywalenie Beryla z autostartu.
Co lepsze... kostką obraca się bez problemu

I przy próbach robienia czegokolwiek dostaję tylko więcej tych linijek: "Couldn't bind redirected window 0x600890 to texture".

Ktoś ma jakiś pomysł co z tym zrobić?

próbowałeś wywalić ~/.beryl ?

Właśnie to zrobiłem. Niestety, nie pomogło.

Po wczorajszym upgrade mam ten sam problem. Z tą różnicą, że aktualizowałem Debiana Lenny testing. X-y również odpalają się bez problemu, kostka się obraca, ale zupełnie nie reaguje menu (paski, menu podręczne, klikanie w ikonki). Usunięcie Beryla z autostartu oczywiście pomaga.

Tutaj [link] można przeczytać, że jest to wina xserver-xorg, ale jedynym aktualizowanym u mnie tego typu pakietem jest 'xserver-xorg-video-nv'.

Przy uruchamianiu Beryla pojawia się:

Czy ktoś ma jakiś pomysł gdzie leży problem?

Udało mi się doprowadzić wszystko do działania.

Jak już wspomniał Raziel, winnym całego zamieszania (nie bezpośrednio) jest xserver-xorg.
Zatem zaktualizowałem go do do wersji 1:7.2-3

Zupdateuje sie też xserver-xorg-core i libgcc1.

Po restarcie jednak nie ma akceleracji i

kończy się restartem x'ów.

Przeinstalowałem sterowniki jednak X'y po tej operacji nie chciały wstać... dostałem jedynie info że moduł nvidii nie może zostać odnaleziony... :|

Od jakiś trzech godzin aktualizuję Debiana do wersji sid, w którym standardowo zamieszczone są nowsze wersje pakietów xserver-xorg, więc jeszcze Twojego rozwiązania nie testowałem, ale jestem pewny, że to zadziała i w moim przypadku.

Możliwe, że po całkowitym "apdejcie" do sida wszystko będzie chodzić jak należy na stabilnych sterownikach nvidii.

Ja mam system trochę pomieszany... w 95% jest to testing, jedak kernel i kilka pakietów było ze sida (teraz o 3 więcej

). Jakoś nie ciągnie mnie do całkowitego update'u systemu, a tym bardziej nie chciałem tego robić tylko z powodu beryla (z którego zrezygnować też nie chciałem) ^^

Po update do sida, tak jak pisał el_carles, Gnome rzeczywiście nie chciał wstać, gdyż nie widział sterownika "nvidia". Zgodnie z zaleceniami pomogła instalacja [tych] sterowników beta.

Mam jednak wrażenie, że na nowych sterownikach wydajność Beryla spadła. Podczas obracania kostki obraz lekko się "rwie" i jest mniej płynny, niż wcześniej.

Czy u Ciebie el_carles wystąpił podobny efekt? Mogę prosić Twój xorg.conf na priv?

U mnie wręcz przeciwnie ^^, mam wrażenie że chodzi płynniej (ale może to od ustawień beryla zależy, bo moja karta to staroć - geforce fx 5200 128/128)

Mam ten sam problem, po tym upgradzie padł mi beryl, po włączeniu go system nie odpowiadał. Po kolejnym upgradzie siadły X'y. Z tym sobie poradziłem

i ustawiłem nv, a nie nVidie.

Mam Linuxa lenny AMD64, więc ściągnąłem te sterowniki: Linux x64 (AMD64/EM64T)

Zainstalowałem wszystko bez problemów, stworzył kernela, zmienił wpisy w xorg i kolejny pad X'y nie idą.
Znów zrobiłem reconfigurację i ustawiłem nv.
Próbowałem później zmieniać wpisy w xorg.conf opierając się na tych podanych na forum (min. na wpisie el_carles) i nic nie udało się zrobić.
X'y działają, ale o berylu mogę pomarzyć.

Pomóżcie proszę skonfigurować xorg.conf.
