dziwne jest tylko oznaczenie sterowników ati (zmieniło się) na
ati-driver-installer-7-11-x86.x86_64.run z
ati-driver-installer-8.42.3-x86.x86_64.run. Zbudowałem paczki

Jednak wstrzymam się jeszcze z instalacją. Najpierw muszę wiedzięc jak uruchomić beryla na tych sterach?
Prubowałem już na zamkniętych sterownikach zainstalowanych pierwszym sposobem i nie udało się.
Może ktoś podeśle xorg.conf (zamkniętych sterowników) na którym działa beryl

zomer beryl/compiz nie dziala na zamknietych sterownikach ati do tej karty (chyba, ze z xgl ale szkoda nerwow). No chyba,ze to nowe drivery w koncu maja poparawna obsluge texture-from-pixmaps (nie sledze ostatnio tego tematu wiec moge sie mylic)

Ciekawe kiedy to naprawia bo juz mnie ku*wica lapie - 3D dziala , system 'wstaje' z aiglx , ale za czorta nie ma obramowan okien ..

PhockouS, W zasadzie to nie ma co naprawiac tylko dodac trzeba w koncu obsluge texture-from-pixmaps bo jej nigdy nie bylo
. W lipcu ATI szumnie zapowiadalo, ze w koncu cos w tej sprawie zrobi. Tak wiec czekamy =]

Również mam problem ze sterami z grafy. Posiadam kartę Mobility X1600, sterownik to 8.42-3-3 (z Sida), a jajo to 2.6.22-3-k7. Zrobiłem wszystko wg opisu
Deathman'a, ale kiedy w konsoli wklepuje compiz to dostaję

w ten sposób rozwiązałem takowy problem w Fedora 7. Pisze o tym poleceniu bo z pewnością jest jego odpowiednik w Debianie (niestety niewiem jaki). Może ktoś przeczyta ten wątek i dożuci właściwe polecenie, odpowiednik

Witam wszystkich!
Mam do Was pytanie. Czy ktoś używa z Was karty ATI jak x1950PRO? Taka kartę posiadam na stacjonarnym komputerze w domu. Na nim zainstalowane Ubuntu ale chyba przerzucę się na Debiana. Mianowicie instalowałem drivery na wszelakie sposoby ręcznie i ostatnio przez Envy no i niestety serwer X-ów nie startował po każdym restarcie po instalacji. Oczywiście chciałbym odpalic na LINUKSIE Wolfenstein:ET lub Quake Wars:ET i stawiać na nim serwery owych gier ale drivery potrzebne. Na berylu czy innych bajerach mi nie zależy. Może komuś sie udało na tej karcie wystartować z driverami najnowszymi?
PS: Proszę się nie przerazić jak zobaczycie w rogu na dole z jakiego systemu korzystam ale teraz piszę z laptopa

Posiadam x1950Pro do kilku dni i problemów z instalacją nie miałem, fglrx użyłem wersji dostępnej w repo sida. Akceleracja 3D działa bez problemu ale jeszcze wszystkiego nie testowałem więc nic więcej nie mogę powiedzieć. Jeśli znajdę chwilkę czasu to może spróbuje zainstalować te najnowsze ze strony ati.
