Tak jak napisał
ilin wywal paczki nvidii i a potem posprzątaj niepotrzebne konfigi

dpkg --purg $(dpkg -l |grep ^rc | awk '{print $2}')
i odpal jeszcze raz instalatora. Tylko najpierw wyłącz X'y i uruchom instalator na konsoli VT.

Wszystko jest dobrze.
Spróbuj jeszcze raz puścić instalację i jak się wykrzaczy to jeszcze raz wklej cały log.

Mnie już pomysłów brak - niby wydaje się w porządku. Chyba, żeby przeinstalować kernela i nagłówki wcześniej je wywalając przez purge.
