Podczas pracy na wolnych sterownikach na ekranie widoczna jest szachownica, która przesłania mi wszystko. Trudno mi to wytłumaczyć więc pokażę zrzuty:
Próbowałem już sterowników zamkniętych, ale jak już niektórym wiadomo że nie działają na Ubuntu 9.04 (przynajmniej wersja 9.3 gdyż moja karta x700 została przesunięta do kategorii kart legacy).
Oto Xorg.log z uruchamiania wolnych sterowników:

Jesli nikt nie zna rozwiazania to chcialbym sie zapytac, co zrobic, aby sterowniki dzialaly tak jak w 8.10 tzn. np. zmienic wersje xorg'a i zastosowac starsza wersje sterow etc.... cokolwiek
