Intel 82815 CGC + 1280x1024 = artefakty

Witam!

Mój komputer to:
PIII 1GHz, 512 SDRAM, Płyta główna na chipsecie i815 wraz ze zintegrowana grafiką Intel 82815 CGC.
Mam problem ze zmuszeniem jej do pracy z rozdzielczością 1280x1024 - na ekranie są widoczne fioletowo-zielone pasy. Przypomina to nieco artefakty widoczne po przetaktowaniu zbyt mocno karty. Sprawdzałem karte na Debianie Etch, Ubuntu 7.10 jak i na cdlinux w wersji 1.0 (co miałem pod ręką). Co ciekawe problem nie występuje na Windowsie XP (jeśli ważne to jest to przeróbka MX v6). Obniżyłem również głębie kolorów z 24 na 16 i co ciekawe, pasy zniknęły ale myślę, że nie tędy droga . Jakieś rady?

Dziękuje za szybką odpowiedź. Nie wiem czy Cię dobrze zrozumiałem, jeśli chodzi Ci o przepięcie monitora do wejścia DVI to obawiam się, że jest to niemożliwe z powodu.... braku takiego wejścia (to jest stara karta). Nadal czekam na jakieś rozwiązanie .

I ustawić odpowiednio.
Jeśli zaś chodzi Ci o tryb tekstowy, to być może chodzi o odpowiednie ustawienie vga=xxx w grubie (choć chyba takiej rozdzielczości vga nie ma, ale przynajmniej system będzie działał).

Niestety tego także próbowałem. Chodzi mi tutaj o tryb graficzny, nie tekstowy.
