Teraz jest KMix, Phonon KDE, nie wiem czy coś innego wcześniej było.
Od czego zacząć? A w ogóle, to mi jakąś awarię melduje po uruchomieniu komputera, wyskakuje okienko z prośbą, o raportowanie błędu. Po ostatnim uruchomieniu systemu już nie boło info raportowane o tym błędzie, jest coś chyba zapisane jakiś log w etc/tmp z nepomukiem chyba?

Rozwiązanie:
Po ostatniej aktualizacji KDE zostały przeinstalowane sterowniki dźwięku ALSA na PulseAudio. Usunąłem w synapticu całkowicie pulseaudio i pulseaudio-utils.
Dla pewności wydałem jeszcze polecenie:

dpkg -l | grep alsa
Klikam na ikonkę głośnika w pasku menadżera zadań, na Mikser (KMix) i mam normalną konfigurację karty dźwiękowej Intel ICH5, a w zakładce Pomoc > Informacje o sprzęcie stoi teraz:
