Zrobiłem własnie test i wyszło mi że plik 968 MB kopiuje sie 4min31sek. Nagrywam na pendrive san disk 64 GB sdcz50-064g USB 2.0 (interfejs fat32). Denerwuje mnie również pasek postępu, który po paru sekundach pokazuje niby 100%, ale w rzeczywistości trzeba czekac te 4min30sek. Nie pokazuje realnego postępu zapisu.

Jak dla mnie to kupiłeś taniego pendrive z niską prędkością zapisu, otrzymane 3,5 MB/s by to potwierdzało.
Dla pewności możesz:
1. Przeprowadzić szybki test prędkości zapisu/odczytu, np tak (zakładając, że masz go zamontowanego w /media/korbielow/usb, plik testowy będzie miał rozmiar ~200MB):

2. Zmienić system plików jeśli uważasz, że powinien zapisywać szybciej, bo FAT-alny system plików jest przeżytkiem minionej epoki i jest po prostu wolny, nie wspominając o maksymalnym rozmiarze pików = 4 GB.

Co do błędnego pokazywania stanu kopiowania, niestety to znany problem związany z buforem dla kopiowania usb, można się do tego pryzwyczaić, wyłączyć bufor lub dla pewności wykonywać w konsoli polecenie sync, które się nie zakończy póki bufor nie zostanie opróżniony.

Realne testy wydajności, to najlepiej przeprowadzić z wykorzystaniem f3read i f3write.

Nigdy nie pokaże ci realnego postępu, bo dane pierw są czytane z nośnika źródłowego, później buforowane w pamięci RAM i dopiero zapisywane na nośnik docelowy. Jak teraz masz dwa nośniki między którymi kopiujesz dane, i jeden z nich jest o wiele szybszy niż ten drugi, to bufor w pamięci się zapełni raz dwa (w zależności o wolnej pamięci i ustawień kernela), co będzie widoczne jako 100+ MiB/s przez parę sekund, a później ci to zwolni do faktycznej prędkości zapisu nośnika docelowego i dane z RAM będą sączone te 2-3 MiB/s i wtedy niby pasek postępu pokazuje ci 100% ale sobie wisi, aż dane z bufora RAM zostaną zrzucone na dysk. Rada jest taka, by kupować szybsze nośniki, lub odpowiednio sobie skonfigurować kenrel, albo jedno i drugie. :D

Własnie znalazłem jakąś recenzje nt. w/w pen drive i to by wyjaśniało wszystko:
Zapis poniżej 5mb/s, zazwyczaj na poziomie 2mb/s. Wrzucenie 40gb backup'u dysku (1 plik) to wyzwanie na pół dnia, jak nie na cały. Zastanawiałem się nad wyborem tego pendrive albo karty microsd 64gb + czytnika i żałuje swojego wyboru.

Co ciekawe, mam taki sam pendrive, tylko 8 giga i działa 10x szybciej (odczyt 20~30mb/s, zapis 10~20mb).
Pendrive-a nie kupowałem tylko dostalem gratis wraz z zakupem laptopa z olx :). Wieć darowanemu koniowu się w zęby nie patrzy, a pen drive służy jako storage na bajki w tv dla córki stąd moje narzekania na wolny zapis pliku powyzej 700MB.:).

ja na pendrive mam ext4. no ale to pendrive nie do windowsów tylko do przenoszenia pomiedzy linuxami... i kupiłem pena USB 3.0 więc prędkości zapisu ma wartości maksymalne dla specyfikacji USB2.0 bo takie porty mam mam w komputerze...
