Na wszystkich dystrybucjach Linuksa, które testowałem na moim laptopie, występuje ten sam, dziwny problem. Otóż, gdy laptop pracuje na baterii, po pewnym czasie ekran gaśnie, nie mogę ruszyć kursorem, nie działa także przełączanie się na konsolę ctrl+alt+f1, wtedy pomaga tylko twardy reset. O dziwo, laptop na zasilaniu z sieci pracuje wzorowo. O co może chodzić? Na Windows7 wszystko działa dobrze.

Na najnowszym systemie Sabayon xfce występuje ten sam problem, na OpenSuse 12.1 też występował. Mamy więc problem, który występuje na różnych dystrybucjach, na różnych wersjach jądra.
Wydaje mi się, że mam trop. Fedora 17 nie zawieszała się, jednak domyślnie miała załadowane jądro PAE. I tu pytanie dla bardziej zaawansowanych: czy to może być to, brak jądra PAE może powodować takie problemy?

Wreszcie udało mi się rozwiązać ten problem. Po zainstalowaniu zamkniętych sterowników ATI laptop się zawiesił, Spróbowałem więc zainstalować otwarte sterowniki i wszystko działa doskonale, bez zająknięcia na Ubuntu 12.10. Czyżby AMD znowu zepsuło swoje własne sterowniki?
