[+] Firefox - jak skutecznie zainstalować w Debianie

Od czasu instalacji Debiana nie umiem poradzić sobie z przeglądarkami. Wiem, jest iceweasel, ale ciągle mi się wysypuje, i nie chcę go. Używałem konquerora, ale midclick oczywiście robi 'wklej' co bardzo mi nie pasuje. Teraz jadę na operze jak widać, jednak chcę firefoksa. Rzecz w tym, że niezależnie od tego czy instaluję wersję 32 czy 64, i tak prędzej czy później ,,wycukruje się'', tzn wysypie się. Napisałem 'gratulacyjnego maila' w 'submit bug' ale nie rozwiązało to mojego problemu. Widziałem kilku użytkowników, którzy w najlepsze używali Debiana i FF. Jak to zrobić? Jeśli jest gdzieś na forum, przepraszam, ale zwątpiłem w szukajkę.

No i jak pozbyć się 'wklej' z midclicka? Nie znalazłem niczego ciekawego w centrum sterowania (kde 3.5).

http://www.firefox.pl tylko wpierw musisz, lub powinieneś odinstalować w całości iceweasela wraz z wszystkimi przypisaniami typu wpisujesz firefox, otwiera Ci iceweasela itd.
Możesz też zainteresować się swiftfoksem bądź swiftweaselem - obie przeglądarki są ponoć zoptymalizowanymi do procesora wersjami firefoksa.
Ostatnio masz też - eksperymentalny (może nie wszystko działać) fork firefox-qt.
Jeśli Ci się wysypuje (coś, bo nie napisałeś co), to możesz sprawdzić co. Być może jest to spowodowane użyciem czegoś niekompatybilnego do końca z Qt/KDE w aplikacji, która jest stworzona na gtk. Powiem tak, swego czasu iceweasel też mi się wywalał, a potem nie wiedzieć czemu (po aktualizacji bodaj do 3.0), wszystko wróciło do porządku i tak już pozostało na stałe.

Proszę bardzo: ściągnąłem z firefox.pl, rozpakowałem do domowego. Przez chwilę chodził (specjalnie odpaliłem go w konsoli by pokazać co się psuje. Załączam zrzuty, ale wątpię że to coś pomoże.
Wszedłem na stronę z javascriptem i flashem - choć zaznaczam, że nie posiadam żadnych pluginów od flasha.
Jednak, to nie tylko problem ze stronami typu wrzuta, czasami i biegając po Waszym forum spotka mnie taka przykrość. Jeśli masz jakiś pomysł - chętnie powalczę. Póki co dodałem repozytorium swiftfoksa i ściągam.

Swiftfox gdy się przewraca, krzyczy do konsoli:

Jedyne co mi przychodzi do głowy, to że gdzieś coś się w zależnościach, bibliotekach itp. wywala. Masz 64bitowego Etcha i do tego przeglądarkę, która jest o 2 lata współcześniejsza niż większość bibliotek stosowanych przez Etch. Nadto, używasz środowiska KDE, a w nim uruchamiasz przeglądarkę opartą o GTK. Może to nic, a może wszystko ;)
Z tego, co gdzieś wyczytałem, to były także problemy z 64bitową wersją Firefoksa.
W sumie, to... odinstalowałbym wersję 3 i zainstalował pierwotnego, czyli bodaj 1.5 Iceweasela z Etch. Jeśli będzie chodził, to problemem mogą być te zależności itp., o których pisałem na początku.

Z innej beczki - próbowałeś uruchamiać jakąś inną przeglądarkę opartą na GTK i Gecko? Tylko nie chodzi mi o tandem Iceweasel/Firefox, bo to praktycznie jest to samo.

Zadaj pytanie w języku polskim --- przeglądarka. Większość pakietów ma przetłumaczone opisy.

Spośród tej listy: epiphany. Masz jeszcze np. Galeon, Skipstone, Beonex i pewnie kupę innych, ale nie tutaj może być - chyba - problem.
Gdzieś się nakładają jakieś zależności itp. Nie wiem na czym to polega. Faktem, że kiedy miałem Etch i FF/IW3, to wywalało mi się ono często (32-bit i system i przeglądarka). Po aktualizacji systemu do Sid/Sidux, IW3.0.3 wywalał mi się w zasadzie na jednej stronie.
Generalnie, masz pomieszane dystrybucje, programy z innej bajki na systemie, który należy już do przeszłości (zobacz sobie na zależności jakie są dla IW w wersji dostarczanej z Etch i dla Lenny/Sid; nadto mogą to być jeszcze jakieś kwestie związane z javą, bo wygląda na to, że FF3 z firefox.pl dość mocno się nią posługuje).
Jeśli chcesz używać FF/IW bez niespodzianek, to chyba najrozsądniej albo zdecydować się na Etch, ale wówczas należącą do niego IW2.0.0.3, albo przejść co najmniej na Lenny i korzystać z IW3.0.3.

Tylko że nie mam pomieszanego systemu. Owszem, dodałem parę repozytoriów 'dzikich', tzn niedebianowych, ale dział 'main" mam z Etcha, jedynie jądro 2.6.26 z sid/lenny (sam się zdziwiłem że tak może być). Jądro jako przyczynę wykluczam, bo problemy były i na starym. Dobrze więc, spróbuję z epiphany, odpalę w konsoli i zobaczę na czym się 'wycurkowuje' i zaktualizuję to, co wydaje się być problemem.
Myślę też nad przejściem całkowicie do Lenny'ego. Wiem że znajdę tam na pewno dużo stabilnych pakietów, a czasem nawet i o trzy wersje nowszych.
To głupie pytanie, ale czy problem z przeglądarkami może mieć coś wspólnego z tym, że nie da się używać compiza? Tzn., stawiam z repozytorium, potem w konsoli compiz-icon i wszystko się ładnie pojawia, jednak, nie działa scroll w myszy i do tego zminimalizowanych okien nie mogę już przywrócić. Jedyne co łączy te dwa projekty to chyba GTK?

Skoro masz FF3 w Etchu, to masz przeglądarkę, która nie należy do świata dystrybucji Etch :) O to mi chodziło. Jeśli jeszcze doinstalowywałeś z repo IW w tej wersji, to pociągnęło pewnie jakieś zależności. Bóg jedyny raczy wiedzieć też, co dodają te "dziwne" repo (sam miałem i niezawsze było wszystko w porządku). Generalnie, z mojego doświadczenia z Debianem wynika, że wersja stabilna jest stabilna dopóki używa się praktycznie wyłącznie oficjalnie wspieranych repozytoriów dla wersji stabilnej. W przypadku jakichś zmian zaczyna się to knocić (doświadczenia wyłącznie z Etch, a nie ze starszymi wydaniami). O wiele bardziej "stabilnie" chodził mi Lenny/Sid w przypadku doinstalowywania programów spoza oficjalnej dystrybucji.
Co do Compiza nie wiem, ale na mojej karcie też nie dało się go odpalić, natomiast tak jak wspominałem IW3 chodził w miarę stabilnie (nawiasem mówiąc, jak już psuć to na całego - ściągnij sobie może wersję FF3.1, zwłaszcza, że to też nie jest paczka deb, tylko rozpakowujesz do katalogu - może tam nie będziesz miał problemów).
