https://wiki.debian.org/WiFi/HowToUse - network manager, albo wicd. Tylko, że może być potrzebne zainstalowanie więcej zależności. Sprawdź może któryś z tych pakietów jest na płycie.
A najlepiej jakbyś podłączył laptop do sieci lan przynajmniej na czas instalacji wifi.

Ponieważ przez kabel też nie ma sieci, mam pytanie. Po poleceniu:

dostaję szczegółowe dane odnośnie ustawienia kart sieciowych, gdzie można je zmienić?

Uruchomiłem wszystko, że pięknie działa przez LAN. Utworzyłem nawet automatyczne przełączanie sieci, jeśli kabel LAN jest wypięty tak, że jak na mnie spory sukces ale jednego nadal nie mogę okiełznać działającego WIFI.

Otrzymuję coś takiego, z czego nie wiem skąd się bierze ta druga zduplikowana karta, o innych adresach IP, a tym samym mac adresie?

Ciekawi mnie jednak jedno, dlaczego po poleceniu

widzę inny mac adres karty sieciowej wifi niż po poleceniu:

iwconfig
Ja nie mam włączonego DHCP, muszę bindować adresy MAC do adresów IP urządzeń, bo taki był zamiar jak konfigurowałem sieć. Więc żeby przypisać mac adres do numeru IP i przepuścić ruch do urządzenia muszę znać poprawny mac adres urządzenia. Co wydaje się być nieco trudne w tej sytuacji.

Obecnie przypisałem adres 192.168.1.14 do adresu 00:1c:bf:42:45:40 ale pojawił się też adres :00:1D:AA:A6:3E:00 i tutaj już zgłupiałem.

Karta sieciowa o mac adresie 00:16:36:e3:9d:f3 ma przypisany adres IP 192.168.1.13 i dobrze działa.

jest adresem sprzętowym punktu dostępowego (interfejs bezprzewodowy rutera) nie twojego interfejsu.

Jakiego rodzaju szyfrowania używa twoja sieć bezprzewodowa, ponieważ wydaje mi się, że to polecenie
