resolv.conf i /etc/network/interfaces nie zmieniają się a po /etc/init.d/networking restart tablica znika
mój /etc/network/interfaces wygląda mniej więcej tak

Skoro przed restartem sieci tablica była poprawnie wypełniona, winowajcą są zapewne błędne dane z serwera DHCP. Pisałeś, że statyczne ustawienie tych danych nie pomaga, mógłbyś jednak spróbować jeszcze raz? Skonfiguruj "ręcznie" (komendą route) sieć, ustaw wszystkie parametry w plikach na identyczne do tych, które masz w tym momencie (upewnij się, że w interfaces nie masz "iface eth0 inet dhcp") i zrestartuj networking. Daj znać czy tym razem (bez użycia klienta DHCP) tablica jest poprawna.

Na 90% źle skonfigurowany serwer dhcp.

zmieniłem na
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

auto eth0
iface eth0 inet static
address ip
netmask maska
gateway brama

wpisałem tablice routingu i po restarcie sieci była dalej (wyskakiwało mi coś takiego "Failed to bring up eth0") ale po restarcie kompa juz niema.
Nie wiem czy to ma jakieś znaczenie ale mam IP zewnęczne

W takim razie coś jednak źle ustawiłeś w tych plikach. Interfejs eth0 nie został odpalony. Nie wiem dlaczego w ogóle miałeś działające połaczenie po "... restart", nie masz czasem np. eth1 jeszcze?

a zapomniałem dopisać że w końcu go odpalił.
Ja już nie wiem co jest nie tak bo nie wygląda to raczej na mój błąd w plikach.
na pewno mam na eth0 mi-tool sprawdzałem

Dowiedz się w takim razie co powoduje wyświetlenie komunikatu "Failed to bring up eth0", jeżeli nic nie ma w logach, pozostaje użycie strace.
